Could you immunological autodidacts please provide some invaluable analysis of my Medichecks blood results? It doesn't look bad enough on paper to push doc into trial course of levo for symptoms, does it? I'm stubbornly subclinical which I guess is a good thing. Is 'Free Thyroxine' T4 as I can't see it in results? A 1000 thanks in anticipation of your collective wisdom.
It rather depends how bad your symptoms are... dare I say as a male you are more likely to be listened to by your GP if you wanted to push for a trial on Levothyroxine, generally 2 above range TSH should be enough but it is a postcode lottery and they tend to ignore private tests!
I'm guessing the fact you are here suggests your symptoms are effecting your life?
Just looked at your last result in Sept 24 TSH - 5.94 mu/L (range:0.35-4.94) this should have triggered a follow up test within 3 months
Suggest you gather up all your blood test results from last 8 years on to a spread sheet
Plus a list of hypothyroid symptoms
Have you tested cholesterol and testosterone recently?
An ultrasound scan of thyroid could be helpful too
if GP won’t offer trial
Here’s link for how to request Thyroid U.K.list of private Doctors emailed to you, but within the email a link to download list of recommended thyroid specialist endocrinologists
Ideally choose an endocrinologist to see privately initially and who also does NHS consultations so that might eventually transfer to NHS
