Hello. Could someone interpret my recent blood results, please?
TSH 1.33
TSH levels normal ( normal range 0.27 - 4.2 mU/L
FT4 14.4
FT4 levels normal ( normal range 12 -22 pmol/L
FT3 4.1
FT3 levels normal ( normal range 3.1 -6.8 pmol/L
I started on 5g of t3, once a day, after my last test results showed that I wasnt converting t4 to t3 very well. I then increased it to 6.5, due to cutting a 20g tablet in four. I am still on 100mcgs of thyroxine. Am I on the right track, or have my wheels come off?
TIA

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test
Free T4 (fT4) 14.4 pmol/L (12 - 22)
Ft4 only 24.0% through range
Free T3 (fT3) 4.1 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8)
Ft3 only 27.0% through range
If you tested as recommended these results suggest you have room to increase levothyroxine OR T3
Have you tested vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin
Yes, bloods done as recommended. Sorry, meant to put 25mcg tablet in quarters. I did wonder whether I should increase t4. Will have to do it by myself as drs wont prescribe as my levels are 'normal' according to them. I'm taking B complex, selenium, vit D/K2 combo, Magnesium and Omega 3 capsules.
Yes, thats what I was wondering too. I tried the t3 because the test at the eend of last year said I was low on t3, suggesting I wasnt converting well. Recent test shows and improvement, I believe.
