Thank you all for your support and information RE: increase in Levothyroxine! (See previous post my TSH increased slightly and my FT4 decreased )

I quoted the NICE guidlines for 1.6mcgs x 1kg body weight also 😑

She said my bloods were Normal! Within range! And I said I would like optimal 🤣 she’s been my Gp for 22 years and knows me well.

We’ve done it! I’ve got an increase in my levo! 12.5mcgs daily! I said to my Dr that I will keep an eye on a side effects…. And will book a Blood test in 6wks!

She won’t do FT3 so will do a private blood test. 🤩

That’s such great news Doris11! Well done for fighting your corner/ advocating for your own health! 🦋

I know many members like to retest after 6 weeks on a new dose. Personally I like to wait 8 weeks, as it takes my body a bit longer to ‘feel the difference’

Brilliant well done

I would wait 8-10 weeks before retesting if possible

Remember early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
