Levo increase

Update : thank you to everyone for their advice . I have spoken to my consultant over the phone he recommended a 25mcg increase in Levothyroxine to make me take 125mcg now. And 25mcg liothyronine (which I was already taking ) can anyone advise how long it will take to feel benefit? As I have not had an increase in levo for 8years . Thank you

How long is a piece of string? It would vary from person to person, so impossible to say, really. Sorry.

Take your time increasing, slowly, and concentrate on your symptoms as it is the symptoms we want to be relieved.

Personally . i wouldn't draw any conclusions abut how you feel until at least 5/8 weeks have passed on increased dose. 'to every action , there is a re-action' as they say. and who knows what your systems will make of the new information they will be getting of increase dose, and what they will do about it, and whether other things will then compensate before settling down to a new normal.

Perhaps keeping a note of how you feel will prove useful, and may make sense when you look back in a couple of months.

But i wouldn't pay too much attention to individual symptoms that last a few days at the moment.
