my symptoms are tiredness, unable to lose weight, breakthough vertigo if I am late taking my T3 and sometimes inspite of taking T3 I get it mildly. I fogot to spilt my dose of T3 the day before test so this is based on my taking the T3 the morning proir to the test. Test taken at 9am by which time I was very shaky and had vertigo due to lateness of taking my hormones which i did straight after test.

50mcg T3 in combination with 75mcgs Levo is a pretty high dose and to me seems unbalanced which is reflected in your results.

Its possible your a little over replaced at the moment. FT4 is almost nothing and FT3 would be over range if 8 - 12 hrs were allowed from last dose til test.

Likely you need more Levo and over time, less T3.

Ferritin is less than optimal. Have you had an iron panel run?

Ferritin should be around 90 - 100 for best use of thyroid hormone. Suggest increasing iron rich foods in diet and eating them often. Chicken livers, pate, red meat etc

No result for vit D.

Are you taking a B complex? Folate looks on the low side.

Thank you vitmain d was 111.. I tried to reduce t3 and increase T4 a while back by 12mcg but gained 7 pounds in weight and got really deppressed but I was on teva at the time which I now dont think agrees with me. My iron has been a bit low for years and I get restless legs so need it higher. I eat lots of eggs and some red meat will increase but might ask GP for full iron panel so I can supplement. Do you think I should sort the iron out before attempting to reduce T3 and increase t4. I take a vitamin B complex but forget sometimes.

Having the wrong balance of thyroid hormone is going to take many months to correct, mean time one would expect a variety of symptoms including weight changes.

Low iron or ferritin will mean you cant use the thyroid hormone that you take well.

Recommend getting an iron panel run either through GP or privately then working on ferritin.

I'd suggest slowly lowering T3 by 5mcgs every month until you're on around 25mcgs.

am I on the right amount of T4 for my weight or should that be increased over time as well.

A rough guide for your T4 level would be 127kg x 1.6 = 203.2mcg but really aiming to creep your fT4 up to around 70% adding no more than 25mcg daily per 6-8 weeks then retesting

Thank you.

at the rate I was gaining I would be back at 30stone in 6 months which is unacceptable. I am very fearful of this and would rather put up with my breakthough vertigo and other symptoms.

Restless legs generally due to low magnesium

Low B12, B1 and B6 also linked.... do you take a good B complex to go with the B12 injections?
