LOW T4 BUT FEELING BETTER?

My doctor did my labs and t4 was low but tsh and t3 was normal. I just started feeling some energy again and now she wants to change my meds. I was taking (5:00am 50mg Levo, 10mcg Cytomel) with (10mcg Cytomel at noon). Now she wants to change to (5:00am 88mg Levo, 5mcg Cytomel) (10mcg at noon). I asked her why she would lower the cytomel she said increasing Levo would naturally increase the t4 o t3 conversion. I don't completely understand the levels I just know how I feel. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Hi Shelly, sorry you have waited so long for a reply.

It sounds like a good plan to me, you will want to up your Vit D and possibly ferritin, most of us take D3 with K2 supplements e.g. my dose is 4000iu in Autumn/Winter and 2000iu in summer. Increase liver pate, kale etc or consider a heme iron supplement (although worth having a full Iron panel first). 🌱

Which plan upping the Levo dosage or staying at dosage on now that is helping me feel better? Thanks for the vitamin info I will check into them.

Sorry I gave you a confusing answer. If you feel well there is an argument to stick where you are and test again in 8-12 weeks.

If you still have symptoms then the adjustment the doctor suggested would be worth a try.
