Morning, could anyone give me some advice on latest BT results please.

I take 150 Levothyroxine ( 75 prescribed by gp, the other 75 I have sourced myself).

Still feeling tired all the time, brain fog, & all the other usual symptoms.

I take vit D+k, B complex, magnesium glycinate & folate.

Many Thanks.

Thyroid levels look much improved

High thyroid antibodies confirms autoimmune thyroid disease - Hashimoto’s

Are you on strictly gluten free and/or dairy free diet

If not, get coeliac blood test BEFORE trialing Gluten free diet

When did you last test vitamin D?

Ferritin was on low side 2 months ago

Did you get full iron panel test done yet

Never supplement iron without doing full iron panel test for anaemia first and retest 3-4 times a year if self supplementing.

It’s possible to have low ferritin but high iron

Test early morning, only water to drink between waking and test. Avoid high iron rich dinner night before test

If taking any iron supplements stop 5-7 days before testing

Thankyou. Yes ferritin always seems to be an issue with me. I will order a full iron panel test and follow instructions.

Thankyou SlowDragon.

I have been a bit stop/start with my Vit D but started to take more regularly as drops with Vit k added. Also take a magnesium supplement with added vit D. So hopefully this should help.

I have now gone GF. Dairy free I’m trying to get my head around as so much milk content in products these days.

Have you ever had a sleep study? Sleep disorders can cause similar symptoms to thyroid issues.

Might be good to cross it off.

Hi, no have never looked into this. Not sure where I’d start either. Do you have any information about this that I can look into please?

I am not in the UK but I would suggest to you that you reiterate that you have excessive daytime sleepiness and brain fog & that a sleep study should be booked. Considering these symptoms still linger.

This does not mean it is not your thyroid but other possibilities should be looked at, at this point. Leaving a symptoms list to highlight that it can be similar to thyroid issues. One does not have to have all symptoms. Note: Not everyone with sleep apnea snores & snoring does not mean you have sleep apnea.

Thanks for your response Litatamon. I don’t have all of these sleep issues so believe it is my thyroid that is causing drowsiness & fatigue. But thanks for your time in replying.
