Momo1948,

It's fine to take Levothyroxine and T3 together. Results look good as TSH is low, FT4 mid-range and FT3 top of range.

Hi Clutter it's been a long while coming but had so much advice from this and PA forums I'm getting there now I now got an excellent Endo at last... let's hope my GPS doesn't interfere Thank you for reply

Yes, you are taking your dose right. I'm glad you've got a sensitive as well as a sensible Endo and I hope you feel increasingly better soon.

Hi Momo1948

Is your endo adding some T3 since getting these results or are these results with the T3 already added? Reason i ask is that your FT3 is already nearly at the top of the reference range but your FT4 has room for improvement but adding either levo or liothyronine is going to increase your FT3 over range which i'm sure others will back me up is not advisable. Dont get me wrong, you are lucky that your Endo is listening and is willing to prescribe T3 but i've just had mine taken away from me and my FT3 struggled to make 5.0 so nowewhere near as good as yours.

Hiya No these were the resuits when Endo prescribed T3 he looked and said they look OK but asked how I felt then said try small dose of T3 with 75 Levo. I had these blood tests done well in the afternoon 4pm as I couldn't get am appointment. I've heard it makes a difference am bloods

Hi there

Oh thats pretty good then with the addition of T3. Wow, your Endo asked how you felt and listened to you...wonderful news! Yes, i normally get my bloods done in the morning and i dont take levo or lio before the test, i wait until afterwards as that can skew your results unless you normally get tested after you take your meds.

Well on my visit in Aug to Endo he wanted my push my T4 up from 12.22 to at least 19. didn't get there as you can see. The tsh. went down from 7.49 first time I've had it this low so was pleased I should think Endo knows what he is doing giving me T3 I'll keep that in mind what you said tho

Usually if you are taking lio it reduces your FT4 level so this is probably whats going on with you. I had a very high FT4 when i was taking a high dose of levo only to try and bring my FT3 up which it did but i didnt feel well hence adding some lio which reduced my FT4 below the reference range but it was started to raise my FT3 level which was good but now it has been put stop to by the endo i saw who did not ask how i felt...all she was interested in was who prescribed it for me (the lio) and why! So sounds like your Endo is a marvel...long may it continue for you.
