Hello everyone

Thank you in advance for your help.

These are my results just in this morning. What I'm surprised by is how good they are, i have felt really exhausted since Covid in December, and when i stopped my B complex high b12 (Viridian) for the test, (I ended up being off it for nearly a month bar 4 days in the middle for various reasons, ) I have been shaky, 4 am heat, high bp for me, memory terrible and sudden energy drops, real exhaustion so much so i've cancelled everything i can) Since taking the test my Bp is better, diastolic slightly higher than it used to be but systolic better) and though i can't really believe that just 5 days since taking the test and restarting Vit B complex I feel more normal. The endocrinologist is see says i have hashimotos, so i was expecting the result to show some inflammation. I don't really understand about the high folate.

Thank you for any insight

Folate-Serum 31.4 (range 7-35)

Vit B12 111 ( 37.5-188)

Vit D 96 (50-250)

TSH 0.007 SUPPRESSED (0.27-4.2)

Free T3 4.3 (3.1-6.8)

Free Thyroxine 17.2 (12-22)

Thyroglobulin antibodies 85.5 (0-115)

Thyroid Peroxidase <9 (0-34)

Ferritin 195 (30-332)

CRP HS 0.951 (0-3)

Free T4 (fT4) 17.2 pmol/L (12 - 22) 52.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 4.3 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 32.4%

You havent said what and how much you are taking?

These results really aren't that good. FT4 should be much higher in the 80's and 90's if on Levo alone.

FT3 needs to be around 70%.

Its time for an increase.

So sorry

Take T4 100 mcg daily

T3 15 mcg

How long before the test did you last take Levo & T3? Recommended timing is 24hrs for evo & 8-12hrs for T3.

You might need to up the Levo slightly.

24 hours T4

And 10 for T3

So then they are an accurate reflection of your stable levels. Suggest an increase of either 12.5mcg Levo or 25 mcgs.

For good health every cell in the body must be flooded with T3 by way of a constant and adequate supply

The most important result there is FT3 and it is too low at 32.43% through the reference range

Your FT4 is 52% ditto. - but exogenous T3 will have lowered this somewhat.

We aim to have both Frees roughly approaching 75% through their respective ranges

Your T4 to T3 conversion is poor......high FT4 compared to low FT3

Your dose is....

T4 100 mcg and 15mcg T3 daily

When was the blood draw for this test done....

Usual protocol is to test at 9am, at least an hour away from food and drinks except water, 24 hrs after last T4 dose and 12 hours after last T3 dose.

Your antibodies don't look high enough for Hashi's

CRP result doesn't indicate significant inflammation

Vitamin D could be higher....100 -150....to support thyroid function and conversion

In your shoes....

I would add vit D + vit K2 ( the K2 ensures calcium goes to hard tissues eg bones and teeth rather than to soft tissue eg arteries where it can cause problems.

I would initially increase T4 to 125mcg and hope that raises T3...test after 6 weeks on a steady dose then depending on results increase to 150mcg.

Maybe, if FT4 is still well in range....try 175mcg.

Your folate is still in range but improving your B12 may help reduce folate level

This will take time to settle....there is no quick fix.

After that you may need to increase T3 dose...if you can persuade your endo!

Or...

If you self source T3 then you could start by adding 2.5mcg to the existing 15mcg every 2 weeks until you reach 20mcg....and test again. Then if required add 2.5mcg every 2 weeks until your FT3 level resolves symptoms but remains in reference range

Just a few thoughts

Sorry forgot to answer! The blood draw was done just after 8 am, 24.5 hrs after last T4 dose and 10 hours after last T3 dose.

Thank you so much DippyDame . I shall up the vitamin D I've been taking and ponder the various T4/T3 options. I agree it doesn't look high enough for Hashis but that was was the consultant said. In my mind I'd constructed a theory that Covid had triggered a Hashi flare up and that would all account for why I felt so bad, but I've dropped that idea . I think I've always been a poor converter , I think i read once that COQ10 helps with conversion?

Thank you again
