hello folk, I did a recent blood test as Ive been experiencing symptoms of fatigue and muscle aches last couple of weeks, I was surprised to see a folate result of 4.71 range is above 3.89, active B12 is 134 (37.5-150) i so take a B complex (not for 7 days prior to test) and recently not the Thorne Basic B brand, ive got to raise Vit D intake because I had thought with this weather and being outside a lot my Vit D would be fine but that has dropped from my last test in April from 150 to 80 😲. Should I start taking a separate Folate supplement? ?

why not go back to Thorne vitamin B complex
In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you probably want to consider taking a separate methyl folate supplement.
Folate is water soluble and quickly drops if we stop vitamin supplement
Woth all the hot weather we have had you have probably put on suntan cream to protect you or covered up because the sun was so intense. This blocks the uptake of vit D. Might explain your unexpected drop? Just a thought....
Ah well you have done all you can if you out in direct sunshine. In that case you simply have to supplement. Many people in the sunshine states have to do the same despite having plenty of sunshine available. Lol.....
There is a gene that affects the vit D carrier protein which I have. My gene report says I may need higher than the recommended amounts of vit D. Perhaps you have that issue too?
Have to say that like you, I was always under the impression that being outdoors in the summer would be enough. Seems this is'nt the case!
many thyroid patients have genetic issues with vitamin D
Common to need to supplement continuously to maintain optimal vitamin D levels
