I've tried a few but for the past few years I've concentrated on Magnesium taurine which is supposed to be heart centric, for my afib. It hasn't made a difference and the capsules give me heartburn so I want to switch back to a thyroid focussed magnesium.
What do people prefer?

it’s very much trial and error to see what magnesium type works best for you. Personally I prefer glycinate, as I’ve found this the most gentle in my stomach.
I 've tried a few, I used to get a magnesium powder from Amazon that had a little scoop with it and 8 different forms of magnesium, then changed over to the capsule form. It started going up in price and it occurred to me that having 8 varieties maybe meant there was too little of each type to be doing the things it claimed. I then tried Malate which is meant to be helpful for Fibro, for relieving pain and energy levels, not sure it helped that much.
These days I take magnesium glycinate in the evening to help with sleep.
