I've got bored of pushing down 2 enormous Solgar magnesium citrate tablets every day, never mind the expense. I'm thinking of something i can mix in water next time. What do people recommend?

Natural Calm Original Magnesium Citrate powder. Unflavoured. I add a little orange juice with mine after dissolving it in a small amount of warm water, makes a pleasant little drink. They do flavoured versions too but you get flavourings and a sweetener added, the unflavoured is pure.
Amazon, Ebay and other places sell it.
perfect. thanks
How long after taking thyroid meds can you take it ?
If you wanted to avoid tablets all together, BetterYou do a range of magnesium sprays. I prefer this as it’s one less tablet to time and it means I can apply it directly to sore muscles, which it can help to relieve.
i do have a body spray, but notice i use it irregularly (i think due to the 'feel' of it, especially when skin sore). I find I'm better with taking it orally (although i can envisage a scenario when i start to avoid taking the bloomin horse tablets, hence the thought of change)
Yeah it’s not the nicest feel on the skin. For an oil it’s strangely dry. Another way of doing it without tablets if you were headed that way is magnesium crystals or Epsom salts. You can add a cup to a warm bath or do a foot soak, neither of which feel as strange on the skin.
I like Voost - big tablets that fizz up in a glass of water. Probably like Seaside Susie’s powder and probably a lot cheaper.
Lots of nasty excipients in Voost including two lots of sweeteners and colouring. Natural Calm is pure magnesium citrate, nothing else.
Natural Calm Original Ebay £30.99 for 16oz = 113 servings of 350g = 27p per serving (use as much or as little as you need)
Boots/Superdrug currently £5.49 for 20 tablets (200mg) on 3 for 2 = 18.3p per 200mg serving or the equivalent of 32p for 350g serving to compare with Natural Calm.
ReMag makes a lotion that is very nice does not burn and is all natural. This is a line from Dr. Carolyn Dean she is known as the magnesium doctor.
already mentioned but i ll chip in.
Epsom salts in the bath. They don't colour the water but are a good way to absorb magnesium. ebay.co.uk/p/1361071723?iid...
£16.75 for 25 Kg from ebay or
£19.95 for 10Kg from amazon amazon.co.uk/Epsom-Salts-Me...
How come you use it? Wondering what it might do for me? I thought it was an osmotic/laxative...
I started taking it as a co thingey (whats the word?) with D3. I do believe it may have helped with brain fog

You nearly got it, it's a co-factor

Magnesium citrate can have a laxative effect, at what dose this would happen depends on the individual. This is why it's advised to check the different forms of magnesium and take the one most suited to your needs.
I've been taking MgO for a long time. Recently, tried Mg Glycinate, because its supposedly the best kind. It made my brain go totally weird, and I refuse to take it again. Back to MgO, which works well for me.
I've also tried the Mg Citrate in pure form, it was also horrible, I think it burned, but the instructions didn't explain how to take it. I thought it dangerous tbh.
Also have Epsom salts, but never seem to manage having baths in it. When I do its a delicious feeling of calm and serenity..
