Armour thyroid

I have been on armour for several years and my endo is aware. 2 months ago I had a blood test which showed my levels were fairly low, TSH was 8 ish and t3 and t4 were low. So I increased my dose slightly whilst waiting for a further endo appointment. Within a couple of weeks I was hyper, no blood test, but heart palpitations that put me in a and e, weight loss, weakness, diarrhea. So I reduced my dose. The hyper symptoms still didn't subside so I came off my meds altogether about a month ago. My endo appt has been cancelled twice but I have since had another blood test that shows I am hypo but only slightly. I feel hypo, brain fog, fatigue, weight gain, but everytime I restart my armour, even on a tiny dose (15mg) I start getting heart palpitations, dizziness and weakness! What the heck is going on? I've been on armour for around 7 years, so I feel like I know my body quite well, and I recognise my symptoms of hyper/hypo well, but I'm so confused 😕 (All other bloods, d3, b12, iron etc ate in range)

Can you share with us your vitamins results? Intolerance of thyroid hormone and hyper like symptoms are frequently due to low vitamin levels.

What are you supplementing with?

Hi and thanks for your response. I don't have my vitamin levels to hand but I do know they were all well in range except iron which was in range but a little low....

Do get a print out from GP reception and post them in a new post for members to comment. Within range isn’t good enough, we need optimal!

In England you can get the NHS app and ask for permission to see your results on that at gp reception.

Likely you could make improvements by supplementing.
