Hello.,Is there a general recommended amount of elemental magnesium I should be looking for? I haven't supplemented it before, am on 75mcg levo and am slowly building up my co-factors (as per the advice here) as a first step.
I keep seeing magnesium content on supplements and know I have to look for elemental on the label.
But that's as far as I've got with magnesium.
Thank you!

If you look through some of the recent threads magnesium has been asked and answered recently explaining all the different types and what they are best for.
I’ve decided I need the glycinate as it’s kinder on the gut. I really need for someone to recommend a good brand if possible…..
Yes I'm going to buy glycinate too for the same reasons. I'm ok with different types but my daughter will be taking it too and she has a sensitive stomach. I'm trying to figure out how much elemental magnesium is recommended(as opposed to total magnesium). If I get a recommended product I'll let you know!
Peak Supplements is recommended by the Vitamin D and co-factors UK group. There's about 10% elemental mag so you'd need to be taking 4 or 5 tabs for an effective dose.
Thank you. I know my daughter will struggle to take four a day (plus other supplements) so I'm looking for a lesser amount. But these do look good. I've joined the group you mentioned and think I'll ask their advice re creams and oils. Thanks for that!
