New Thyroid -S not as potent?

I was taking one tablet of Thyroid-S for about 2 years and it kept my TSH about 2-2.5 with T4 just below range and T3 in a good place.

When that bottle ran out and after messing around for 6 months with Armour Thyroid and other products I decided to bite the bullet and order some more Thyroid-S that incidentally was about 4 times more expensive than the last bottle and for half the amount 500 instead of 1000 tablets.

I have been on these new tablets for 3 months and just had a test and my TSH came back at nearly 5!!

So either these are fake (I am sure it is the same company I bought from last time) or something has changed in me.

Anyone else think the new Thyroid-S is under dosed?

I wish I knew…I have been on Thyroid-S for about six months (previously on levo) and struggling to find the right dose…I am honestly not sure it is worth the price. TBH, I am not that impressed with Thai NDT so far. I feel it is unstable but cannot compare it to other brands of NDT unfortunately. It will be interesting to hear about other members` experiences!

I don't take Thyroid-S but have read elsewhere that there is now only one reliable supplier to ensure the genuine article.

Could you PM me the reliable supplier of Thyroid S please SeasideSusie. I am coming to the end of my last pot of Thiroyd (now slightly out of date). Thank you.

I too am on my last pot of Thiroyd and am wondering what I should do next. Frustrating.

Worrying isn't it. I have felt so good on Thiroyd (with the addition of T3) for the last few years. It was cheap as well! I think I paid about about £56 for a 1000 tablet pot. My other option might be to try an increased dose of T3 only. This is still available from usual supplier in Mexico. Not looking forward to running out of my Thiroyd but know the inevitable is getting closer.

I paid £52 initially and then it went up to £69.90 (September 2019) - I bought two tubs then as knew it was becoming scarce and expensive. Mine became out of date in February but seems ok. I had bought T3 from Turkey when I was there but have run out. Will dm you for your supplier. Totally worrying!

There's been quite a bit of discussion in various places recently about the potency and consistency of Thyroid-S. Some think it's more potent, some think it's less. I think it's about the same, but I've also often thought in the past that it varied slightly from batch to batch. If you let me know the batch number and expiry date of the jar you have I'll see if it's been mentioned in the other groups I'm in.

No I don't think so, last year I ordered from a different supplier during covid as my usual onehad run out. I then ordered 500 from the original one too. I have been taking both at my usual rate of 2.25 grains per day. I am fine and so are my readings. I have no thyroid either so

I know that these both work I have been taking it for over six years now since my TT. I had to order Amour prior to the first order as thyroid s had run out but it never agreed with me and it was so expensive.

I am finding them slightly more effective, dropped from 3 to 2and a half. From Thailand in a glass bottle inside a cardboard box. I worked it out how many pennies a day to feel somewhat normal, then it was not too bad, but still a chunk out of my pension!

Hi, I've just replied to your PM but for others reading this, I've checked the batch number you mention in various groups I'm in and also done a general search. I haven't found any adverse comments about it and the only mention of it was on this forum, halfway through the thread linked to below. That said, I have read some people have had curious reactions to Thyroid-S recently. The difficulty is knowing for sure that the reactions are from it and not something else though. I believe the only actual change to it has been a new source for the thyroid extract itself. Several of us have been assured there hasn't been a change of formula. I'm glad SeasideSusie has mentioned a reliable supplier, it's probably the same one I use! healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

I also nearing the end of a 500 count bottle and I've noticed very little difference. I've controlled for diet, restful sleep, positive attitude, staying hydrated and trying to get more exercise. I'm sure I need some more supplements to round out my nutrients and I'll be getting thise started shortly.

I received my batch 3 months ago in August 2022 I believe. I don't know if the formula or the source or both have been tampered with at all. All I can report it is my personal experiences and I have felt some minor boost from it on particular days but I haven't felt any noticeable shifts in my overall well-being or feeling as if my internal metabolism was starting to run at a higher pace. I'm not saying I feel nothing from it I do seem to feel some mild benefit but I was hoping for more..

I was hoping to feel eventually a huge sea change in my overall energy level which would then empower me to move forward in other areas of my life that I've been putting off for quite some time.

Maybe I'll try it one more time but now I'm on the hunt for another source of NDT that can be obtained without a prescription. So if anyone knows of any please PM me if you need to to let me know I'd be very very grateful.
