Well, it had a whirlwind but doing better. I started on a new bottle of thyroid S and they are strong. I am down one full pill and a quarter and doing better. It will still take time to level.
I am going to get blood work done and see a thyroid doctor as I can't have this happen again. Scarey stuff to say the least. I want to switch to a stable med and that scares me too as we know what we will endure until leveled again on a new med.
I never had an issue with the changing of bottles but we both know that cannot be going on. I truly don't know why there would be such a drastic difference in the bottles. Disturbing!!!!
On the road to recovery and heading in the direction of a new doctor. Wish me luck lol. This will be a challenge but when I get on the other side I know it will be better.
Love all of you on here.

Hi. That is a worry! I've just started a new bottle but have not noticed any difference at all. I find Thyroid S stronger than Nature Throid and have dropped my dosage accordingly. Do you have hashimotos as that could have caused the problem?
I had been on Thyroid s for over seven years until last year when they changed formula.
I have been struggling for over 6 months to get back some normality. The pills which were weak were TA 22006 and TA 22012. I still have 1400 off them but they are so weak they don't work. Which is your batch that you say is strong. The new one are greenish, shiny and don't smell like the old ones. I used to take 2.25 grains a day in two doses with no thyroid gland. I hope you get yours sorted out.
It seems like all the manufacturers have problems with their products at some stage, even the synthetics like levothyroxine. My latest bottle TA22054 appear to be perfectly fine thank goodness. I struggled along with nature throid and used up the last bottle I had knowing that they were not as strong as they should have been but too scared to try something else. I just hope that they continue to be ok as I don't know what I'd do if they become a problem.
I to am on thyroid-s but I find it quite strong although I’m just starting … how do you keep it? In the fridge or outdoor ? I’ve been wondering if weather affects it ? Thanks
keep mine in the fridge but have to be very careful no moisture gets in it it will make it go mouldy! I had that problem with some in a pill cutter that got damp. It’s best in a cool dry place, but my flat get really hot in summer
Thanks for that Batch detail. I will try again but use more this time, perhaps 2.5 or 3 grains. I really don't want to waste them. My FT3 went down to 2.76 from 6.16 in just forty days and I was falling over. I hope yours work for you now.
Thank you that's interesting. Everyone is different I know but I had been on a steady dose for years at 2.25 grains. I have no thyroid and no gut problems either. The thing is as soon as I opened the 22 year ones I noticed, no smell, change in colour and shiny too.
Anyway, thank you for all your hard work on our behalf.
Interesting you mentioned falling over. I too am on Thyroid S, switched from TRMann and still struggling with it, one of the problems is that I feel light headed, and have fallen over a few times…I was previously on x 2 grains on TR Mann and started on just 1 grain of Thyroid S, however on the lower dose I became profoundly deaf. Now taking 2 grains, but still not feeling great. That said I have never felt great in 20 years without a thyroid.
I now know that the falling over is a sign of low FT3. I always felt well on Thyroid s until the 2022 batches. Now trying Levo plus T3 just started it will take a few weeks for the Levo to kick in and start converting. I think that the falling over is not in itself, falling but the body trying to fall asleep due to very low T3 in the cells. I am now having to make sure that I take enough T3 to keep me going for a few weeks.
it’s happened to me recently I was on 3 grains of a bovine type and was delighted with it and all of a sudden I have had to drop by a half. So challenging
Good to hear you are all ok. One solution for thyroid medication strength fluctuations is to just take as much you need each day. Sounds simple right ? Basically pretend like you have just started on NDT and you are still optimizing. What are the signs you have had too much and what are the sighs you need a little more . And then follow your instincts each day. We also need a little more in winter, or when we are doing active stuff like playing sport etc.
I have been on TA22006, and had to up by half a pill. Now just started TA22057, and have dropped back by half a pill. I dont know if this is right, just instinct. I usually drop about half a pill through summer though. I know when I need a little more from the tinitus gets louder as the first sign I am not taking quite enough. If I go over the sweet spot, I find I am worrying more about nothing, and I am not a worrier.
I had just started TA22057 when lambing started. So far it has been OK, coping with little sleep and high stress levels (and lots of black coffee and bikkies!), so probably an unfair test as far as the potency.
I had actually got to the point of wondering whether to revert to taking Levo and Lio again when on TA22006, as I just did not feel "right". I will give this new bottle a go, and see how I get on, when all the sheep have given birth, and life returns to some sort of normal.
Hi Serenfach. I've just come across your post about batch no: TA22057. I have recently started this batch and are having issues (weight gain, acheyness, some swelling and continual lethargy). I have tweeked the dose up and down, but no difference. I have just had a blood test done to see if the results shed any light. I have resorted back to my previous batch TA22012 today, but only have a few left . How are you finding the TA22057 now you're a few months in? Do you find it stronger or weaker than other batches? I would appreciate your insights as you've been having it longer than me. Thanks 😊
I feel the same - not right, fat tummy and aching joints, so a week ago I upped my dose. No difference so far. I am now getting heartburn which I dont get if the dose is right. I had put it down to silage making, gardening, hay fever, but suddenly thought "this is not right, maybe the NDT." I even started eating brazil nuts in case my selenium is low. No change.
I would be interested in your blood results when you get them to see if this is indeed a dodgy batch. Its hard enough without dodgy drugs to feel well!
