Up until Oct 21 i was taking 75mg Levothyroxine and 2x 5mg Liothyronine, i also have the DI02 polymorphism.
i have been taking this dose since October 2020 after seeing my Endo.
During the summer of 2021 i started experiencing feelings of faintness/passing out 3-4 times a week this would only last 1-2 mins at a time. also felt wired. My GP sent me for a heart scan to see if there was a valve problem causing this, results are back and a slight heart murmur was detected, but she doesnt think that caused my symptons. Also having an ECG this week to make sure nothing else going on.
I spoke to my endo during Oct as my prescription was due for renewal for T3, he advised to change my dosage of levothyroxine to 75/50 alternate days and keep T3 the same.
2 months later these faint symptoms have lessened but am now unsure what to do as some of my pre- diagnosed symptoms are returning, like foggy brain/slow thinking and tiredness. I was going through a stressful time with work last year so dont know whether that was the problem or whether too much Levothyroxine.
I have a telephone appointment soon with my endo and am thinking of asking him if upping my T3 would be beneficial? What does anyone think?
I have been trying to up my Folate and Vit D, betteryou spray ive taken for a few years now but it doesnt seem to climb very high and im on max dose.
Sorry for long message but would appreciate any advise given as i know you all have oodles of knowledge.
Thankyou in advance

Thanks for your reply. Yes I always leave off the medication 24 hours before and have early morning bloods. So would the levothyroxine be 75 mg back to the dose I was on before? I could try that.would that help increase the T3 levels even with the DI02 gene I have. T3 needs to go at least to 50% too doesn’t it?
I don't take T3 .. so feel free to ignore me , but :
Since reducing the Levo has now sent the T4 to bottom of range, and at 14[12-22] it was already pretty low to begin with , i wonder if it might be an idea to put the Levo dose back to where it was .. and consider reducing T3 a tiny bit instead .. ie. 7.5mcg instead of 10 mcg.
I realise your fT3 isn't too high 'on paper' but i suppose i'm thinking in terms of getting T4 and T3 a bit more in balance ?
Thanks for replying. I could give it a try but it does seem a very low dose T3 at 10 mg, that will be difficult to cut the tablet also and I wonder about accuracy when it goes powdery after cutting. I do have the blade thats recommended on here. It’s all very trial and error and after 6 years of trying to up the readings I’m getting very despondent. It took 4 years to even have a trial of T3.
