Following a blood test where I was advised I had high TPO antibodies I saw a private endo, blood showed hashimotos however he said blood indicating I was likely to go overactive although symptoms suggest underactive.
He requested further bloods and have the results today
Serum Cortisol - Normal 701nmol
FSH 68.4
LH -normal 28.9
Prolactin 173 (59-619)
TSH 1.25 (0.3-5.0)
Am really struggling to get any sort of GP appointment to discuss, meanwhile joint pain/fatigue worsening.
Am wondering if this is thyroid related at all although previous RA test was negative.
I take Vitamin B D and selenium supplements
Really struggling as to my next step, any advice would be really welcome 🙏

What on earth did he mean by that? Was he talking about the TSH of 1.25 noted above? Were the FT4 and FT3 not tested? I don't see how a TSH of 1.25 suggests you're going to go over-active. But, if he meant the high antibodies, they are saying you have Hashi's, which swings between false hyper and hypo. So, maybe that's what he meant? Strange thing to say, though.
Many U.K. patients forced to test privately to make progress
How much vitamin D are you currently taking
Vitamin D needs testing twice year when supplementing
Aiming for vitamin D at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better
Suggest you order FULL thyroid and vitamin test kit to do in New Year
Only test early Monday or Tuesday morning and then post back via tracked postal service. Don’t test if very cold/snowy
Full details of testing options via Medichecks or Blue horizon and links for money off codes in previous post
Come back with new post once you get results
We ALWAYS recommend getting full thyroid and vitamin testing done BEFORE considering booking any consultation
If Thyroid levels within range ……First step is to always improve low vitamin levels and then retest thyroid levels again after 2-3 months on vitamin supplements

Thank you, i guess i naively thought the endo would order what i needed.Feel I am banging my head against a brick wall trying to get some answers , was expecting full bloods so a bit shocked to have seen this, and not able to discuss with GP and reluctant to see the same endo.Think I will start from scratch and do full bloods as advised in the new year and take it from there.
Am taking Better You D3000 not had any improvement in joint pain yet.
