Update on my post: Hashimoto's in range, switch to Armour

Hi...I'm on NDT now. 9 days. I had to switch to an old Armour script I tried 16 mo ago. The Levoxyl T4 I took, 16 days. (did wait until I couldn't stand reactions anymore, could not function at all last few days) Felt better on this second try of Armour. I got a newer prescription, the 5th day.

I have been really miserable, but hopeful, trying thyroid medication, not able to withstand staying on any synthetic T4/T3', T4 dose. LDN, no good with me. So now, trying NDT, where I started before a 15 month sleep issue began.

Can anyone advise on taking NDT..

Do you know of this symptom? I was getting strong hot burning feeling in my mouth and sore eyes last night after 8 days. I'm on lowest dose 15mg., to calm my body down from all this. Not 30mg. yet, that others start on. I don't know if these are signs of now intolerance; under medicated. But I also feel jitters or internal agitation, and I noticed this prior, using Lunesta/ or mirtazapine for sleep medication. Today some stomach ache, back achy, chest pressure, but did sleep 4 1/2-5 hrs., a first in long time, for me, I didn't wake exactly at 3a.m but 5am. I have possible cortisol adrenal issues but my cortisol tests, am pm ACTH are normal range.

I am taking Mag and D high dose 50k capsule/ a week,( D seems always at 32-34 (30-100) take selinium, zinc, mag, vit C and B vitamins occasionally not every day.)

Hello Jonathan, and thanks.I'm not giving up on Armour, and taking the mag. not every day many hours away from the NDT. I take my Armour around 3:45 am as I wake then. Understand it might help to follow circadian rhythm of the body and will hopefully influence adrenals. I'm very stressed and wake at 3 or 4 a.m.

The dry scratchy eyes mouth burning, aching in body, started only after trying thyroid medication.

I have had brittle falling hair, dry skin, constipation, fatigue, sinus stuffiness, teeth clenching, etc. and diagnosed Hashimotos, very late in 2012 with normal blood work my whole life. Now having weight loss and trouble falling asleep.

April 7, TSH 3.34 and FT3 2.20. (2.0-4.4) Ft3 1.09(.90-1.70) 8 weeks earlier TSH 2.80, FT3 and FT4, a little higher. TPO was 202, Tg was 349.

GP gave me Levoxyl 25/50mg. But that really caused suffering after first week so after 16 days, I switched. ( I self tried

Armour in 2019)
