have been prescribed Armour 120mg (2 grains)

Blood results

TSH. 0.02 (0.27 - 4.2)

T4 11.2 (12 - 22 )

T3. 5.76 (3.1 - 6.8 )

i had a 2 stone weight gain in 2020, having reduced my Thyroid S (thailand) from 3 grains to 1 because of a global shortage, my T4 dropped to. 4.3, I am now under a private Endo who has prescribed 2 grains of armour, it has been 3 months now and the weight has not budged, feel ok but not hit my sweet spot yet, can anyone suggest anything?

It looks like you've got a reasonable FT3 level but your FT4 level is below range. We're all different as to where we need each individual hormone level but most on combination hormone replacement need FT4 somewhere within the range. Maybe Armour isn't right for you, maybe you need to add some Levo???

Thyroid-S is available again, maybe consider sourcing it again???

thank you for your reply , I have bad breast pain with Wockhaart Levo, so have managed to find a chemist to dispense Pharma, the script will go in today, fingers crossed i do not react, my T4 has always been low whilst taking NDT, 5 years , the Endo did suggest in taking Levo, but i was apprehensive, but will try 25mgs of Pharma, and retest in 4-6 weeks , I have tried Erfa, but didnt get on with it

Hello Peony

Can you not just go back up to 3 grains where you felt better ?

OK then -

I just hope this doctor is conversant with NDT -

Generally you dose to the relief of symptoms and not a blood test:

Your TSH will probably go low/suppressed, your T4 can be low in range but as long as your T3 rises to a decent number and you find relief of symptoms, it's all ok.

HealthUnlocked have produced some help for how to do this. You can find this here:

When you edit the original post in a thread, you will also have the option to add (or remove) a single image. (To replace an image, remove the existing image, then add the new one.) This is the same process as writing a new post:

I am pointing this out purely to ensure that you know your options. :-)
