I added this post again Im not sure why Im not getting reply’s ?

Hi everyone, Below are my last 2 thyroid test (FT3) not tested (endo refuses). I feel like I could benefit from more T3 vs. More T4 or little bit of both (not sure) What do you think?

On going issues ....really dry skin on shins, feet and face, burning skin sensation on tops of feet and hands (without a rash) and the glaring obvious weight, joint pains and fatigued!

Had sugar test done and it was normal, saw neurologist and thats normal to... but my cholesterol test is through the roof ( Only bonus is the numbers have hardly increased since last test) and wonder if the extra 50mcg levo has helped only issue is (I can't remember to take it) ...agh!

February 5, 2020: Early Afternoon test (100mcg synthyroid) and (10mcg cytomel). This test was sprung on me at the doctors appointment, I ate and took my meds 2 hours before the blood drawl.

TSH: 0.27 (0.50-4.50)

FT4: 1.6 (0.8-1.6)

T3: 1.42 (0.80-2.00)

(NO FT3 TESTED)

Nov 2, 2020: Early AM (No food or drink prior)last meds at 8pm (1/2 of 100mcg and 1/2 of 5mcg T3) extra 50mcg levo per week (I usually forget to take) I have been splitting my 100mcg and 10mcg cytomel and taking them (3x) a day.

Tsh: 0.734 mclU/mL (0.27-4.20)

Ft4: 1.22 ng/dl (0.93-1.7)

Ft3: NOT Tested (2.0-4.4)

T3: 97.9ng/dl (80-200)

B12: 689.5 (232-1245)

No other Vitamins tested .... I supplement B12, D3,K2 and Magnesium.... I'm also on Iron for mild anemia!

You had 6 replies to this post of 2 days ago.

Did these not reach you?

That was one person and me, normally for blood test I get multiple responses.

Some questions are not always answered straight away. There's not a 24 hour cover on the forum. It's just when members 'pop in' to have a look that answers may be made.

Results are likely inaccurate since your draw was not at least 6 hours from your dose.

No, the first test would be the least accurate and I added that just for a rough comparison to the second test which is actually accurate!

I would suggest raising your Cytomel to 12.5 or 15 mcg divided twice or even three times a day. Try to take your last T3 dose precisely at lights out; continue if it does not interfere with your sleep (can work either way!).Cytomel is not very user-friendly in only two rather expensive strengths. You need a pill splitter, or for more precise doses, a compounding pharmacy. In Canada, they're cheaper than Pfizer!

It would be helpful to see if your thyroid is adequate by temperature. You need a mercury, Geratherm or liquid thermometer not digital. If you can't find one, try a veterinarian.

You need five days of Daily Average Temperatures. Three hours after rising, then plus three hours, then plus three hours. Divide the total by three.

* Bear in mind, taking a manual temp needs 20-30 minutes of quiet time for an accurate measure.

If your thyroid meds are working for you, you'll get a nice steady 98.5-98.7 (36.9-37.1). Lower, you're not getting enough T3; higher, you're getting too much.

Thank you. I will add more T3 on my own if Endo won't give me more first.
