Yesterday got my results from blue horizon and everything normal for thyroid. B12 result thought would be a lot higher since treatment started last September. Bit odd that they say reduce treatment! Does anyone think everything looks OK?

Thyroid and blue horizon
So, looking at previous posts, you are not on any levothyroxine
Ft4 and ft3 are both low
Thyroid antibodies not high
20% of Hashimoto's patients never have raised antibodies. An ultrasound scan might be helpful

Vitamin D still needs to be a bit higher
Are you taking good quality daily vitamin B complex ?
B12 doesn’t look too high
Presumably you are also taking a good quality daily vitamin B complex
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

Thanks for reply. Vitamin d I take 3200 colekal d3 daily and folate 5mg a day and b12 injection every 3 months. Went to doctors yesterday before my results came through because I'm struggling to lose weight as well. Today I have phone consultation with doctors about my tremors I'm having and restless legs driving me mad at night.
Just want to feel well.
Restless legs is often low magnesium. Common after starting to improve low vitamin D
Suggest you read up on importance of magnesium and vitamin K2 Mk7 supplements when taking vitamin D

As per first post replies from greygoose and myself
On B12 supplements it best to take a good quality daily vitamin B complex too. Not just folate. We need all B vitamins. This also helps B12 levels between injections

Low vitamin D and low B vitamins may be linked as explained here

My doctor wants to put me on Meds Ropinirole for restless legs & tremors that they give to people with Parkinson. I feel the problems is because of the b12 or due to other abnormal my bloods are showing.
I will read through everything that you have tagged me in.
Suggest you try magnesium first

Daily banana can help low potassium
Your cortisol is on high side ....most likely due to body trying to compensate for low thyroid hormones
Email Dionne at Thyroid UK for list of recommended thyroid specialist endocrinologists

An endocrinologist might consider 3-6 month trial of levothyroxine
Hey slowdragon, do you know if there is a way to test magnesium? Someone once told me a hair test is good for minerals testing etc?
As I understand it ...in UK there’s no accurate test
Serum magnesium test will apparently always come back within range
Personally I view hair analysis as distinctly “alternative “
The accurate magnesium test that you want is called RBC Magnesium, or Red Blood Cell Magnesium. It tests the amount of magnesium in your red blood cells. The serum magnesium is inaccurate. Your serum magnesium can be normal range, even though what is in your red blood cells can be very low or deficient.
Check the test table at the lab your doctor uses. They should have a website that lists their lab test table. I googled RBC magnesium UK, and there are some labs that offer this test. They are possibly private labs.
Medichecks has it:

Which reference range applies for your cortisol result i.e. what time of day was your blood taken? Your result is higher than all the ranges supplied but obviously the degree to which it is high depends on the time the sample was provided.
Tremors can be caused by high cortisol. It's possible they are caused by low cortisol too. But your high blood test result suggests the tremors are most likely to be caused by high cortisol.
Restless legs can be caused by low magnesium. However there is no point in testing magnesium because the only available tests are not reliable. You should supplement the equivalent of about 300mg - 400mg magnesium per day. Read what SeasideSusie has to say about magnesium in this reply :

It is only safe to supplement magnesium if you know that your kidneys are reasonably healthy. Someone with severe kidney disease would have to be monitored by a doctor. The kidneys help the body to excrete excess magnesium - as long as they work well enough.

Another cause of restless legs is low iron. Your ferritin (iron stores) looks good. But your CRP is high, and that can make ferritin look better than it really is.
If you had an iron panel done it might show that you have low serum iron. A Full Blood Count might show that your haemoglobin was low. It is impossible to guess. If you look up "relationship between ferritin and CRP" you'll get lots of links to read.

And another cause of restless legs is low potassium or low sodium (from salt). You can increase your potassium levels with food - look up "potassium rich foods". Bananas and coconut water are apparently good sources of potassium. And for salt or sodium you can drink a cup of stock or bouillon powder which usually has salt as the first ingredient in the ingredients list. I use this one :

I take magnesium every day in the form of magnesium citrate, and I always stick to the recommended dose on the bottle. There are plenty of other possibilities available to supplement magnesium.
I only take extra potassium and/or salt when I think I need it, and in each case I stick to the dose on the packaging.
Iron needs to be tested thoroughly (i.e. not just ferritin) before even considering supplementing. Pushing ferritin and/or serum iron over optimal is definitely not a good idea!
May I recommend excellent healthunlocked.com forum for RLS sufferers. I have found this to be a great source of advice when I have had problems with RLS or medicines prescribed for relief of RLS.
