Following are my latest blood labs on .64 Synthroid and 2.5 mcg (yes...that low of a dose) Liothyronine.
TSH 1.95 (range .40-4.50)
Free T4 1.1 (range .8-1.8)
Free T3 2.7 (range 2.3-4.2)
Total T4 9.1 (range 5.1-11.9)
Total T3 99 (range 76-181)
My Vitamin D, B12 , etc are all in good range (please don't ask me to add that info...I am visually impaired). My pulse runs 90-100 and I feel speedy, but I am constantly stressed as I am losing vision. I also have severe insomnia (my circadian rhythm wants me to sleep at 5pm but I fight it so I may sleep from 11pm to 2am which is when I wake up and if I fall back asleep I inevitably awake at 4am). I am NEVER SLEEPY, nor fatigued.
I have been taking my Synthroid at 2am and my T3 at 5am. Would it be harmful to stop the T3 for a few days to see if my "speediness" subsides? How long would it take my body to recognize I am not taking the T3 to see if my pulse slows up a bit? I know symptoms are just as important as blood levels.
I have a lot of psychological issues and constantly try to breathe deeply etc, but when I am out in the world, because of my vision I panic. Or perhaps take my Synthroid at bedtime (10pm). How soon may I feel symptom relief by switching the timing or stopping the T3? (I have had severe insomnia for the past 3 years and have extreme anxiety though try not to take Zolpidem or Ativan but sometimes I must to get 5 hours of sleep). Thanks for any input.

My sympathy for you . It's very unpleasant and very concerning to feel the way you are . I would suggest that you might want to raise your T4 to 75mcg . You have the room to do it . I found from my own experiences that if I don't have enough T4 my sleep will be disrupted .Your T4 might not be enough for you . I found that splitting my T4 is very helpful too . I dose with my T4 half AM and the second half in the late afternoon . Your FT3 might come up higher if you raise your T4 and you are a good converter too.
Your nutrients are very important they help your thyroid meds work better for you .
Vitamin "D"/K2 , B-Complex , B-12/folate , B-12 is very helpful with a good nights sleep . Iron( low Iron may cause anxiety and panic attach's, and palpitations) , Magnesium , minerals, vitamin "C" supports adrenals as does Celtic Sea Salt .
If your Cortisol levels are high in the evening you might try a low dose of Zinc .
Before trying any nutrient have your Dr run labs with the above mentioned nutrients.
Thanks for all your feedback...doing a lot of tests privately though in US. Vitamin levels are good....take Optimag Neuro Magnesium and many high end, 3rd party tested supplements. Just started taking Sharp Phosphatidyl Serine for cortisol reduction since I know my circadian rhythm is way off...cortisol surges at 9pm (took saliva and blood tests). Unfortunately I read that it can 6-8 months to re-adjust circadian rhythm and patience is not my strong suit!
