I've been struggling with hypo symptoms for a while on synthetics (T4+T3), I try to match them but I don't succeed 100% . One of them is blurred vision. If I take only levo, I have disturbed vision(in the morning). If I add 5mcg of T3 (at 7 am with levo) my vision becomes clear a few hours but around 11 a.m. it diminishes again. If I add more T3 (10mcg) my vision it's ok but I get fast pulse, anxiety and I can't sleep at night. It is very annoying. Now I take 125mcg levo at 7 am+ 5T3 at noon and another 5T3 at bedtime. Why the 5mcgT3 effect does not last until the afternoon at the next dose of T3. How can I fix it? When I was on ndt my vision was perfectly cleared but I had other problems.

Blurred vision on levo but improved if I add T3.
Have you had your eyes checked by optician? It could be dry eye or either a script needs alternating or new script. Are you looking at screens a lot during the day?
Hi. Can I ask what brand of T3 you’re using?
After months of being fine on T3 I’ve been unwell this weekend and one of the things I’ve noticed is blurred vision.
I find that if my T3 dose is too high, I struggle to focus my eyes but this is different, and seems only to be in one eye.
Must thought I’d mention it as I’m convinced my symptoms are from a change in brand. I was on Mercury pharma and recently it’s been morningside 🤷🏼♀️
I use Thybon(German T3) but I would like to try T3 with extended release(compunded). I'm not living in Uk.
One of Thyroiduk's Advisers (now deceased due to an accident) was an expert in the use of T3.
He himself took T3 and his recommendation was once daily as it saturated all of our T3 receptor cells and sends out 'waves' throughout the day.
I note you split your T3 doses but Doctor Lowe, an expert in the use of T3, always advised one daily dose as it then saturates our T3 receptor cellas and sends out 'waves' throughout the day.
I follow his method and am fine on T3 only and I've even reduced my dose recently. This is a link you might find helpful.
You might need 3 doses T3 per day ....taking 5mcg every 8 hours
7am, 3pm and 11pm
Taking small dose T3 at bedtime can help improve sleep too
Hi SD, yes I know that but my morning T3 dose don't hold on until the afternoon(3pm). I prefer not to take the morning dose so as not to feel up and down. I take only at 3pm and 11pm. That's why I would like to try T3 with extended release(compunded) but It's hard to get and it is expensive.
My one daily dose last more than 24 hours. I also feel well.

I take only 5T3 in the morning and levo, on this dose I feel better just for few hours then I need another T3 dose .
5mcg is a very small dose. I take 25mcg T3 once daily. I used to take a higher dose but going upon 'how I feel' I've reduced dose gradually. (25mcg T3 is equal 'in its effect' to 100mcg of levo).
The purpose of T3 is to saturate all of our T3 receptor cells Its work then begins by sending out 'waves' that lasts for between one to three days. That's the reason Dr Lowe recommended one daily dose and that was for those who couldn't improve their health on levothyroxine.
Millions of people worldwide seem able to restore their health on T4 alone but there's a section of people who cannot and I'm one.
If you're taking a combination of T3/T4 it should last for at least 24 hours (I am not medically qualified) and you should feel well with relief of symptoms.
When someone takes T3 alone, it has to saturate all of the T3 receptor cells and then its work begins for between one to three days.
