Why are you not taking thyroid meds - if you are hypo, not taking meds can kill you? Are why are you drinking claret (no alcohol with antibiotics)? You can take antibiotics and replacement hormones on the same day. You'll probably need to take probiotics to fix your digestion when course of antibiotics is finished.

Perhaps you don't actually need replacement hormones. Do you have your last set of blood tests results so that people can advise? Are you supplementing vitamin C to help with gums?

That high TSH does suggest that you need replacement hormones

endocrinolost said that i dont have weight put on and that sometimes at the ages of 64 tsh can go up to 10 he believes i dont have symptoms of thyroide and i should be treated for depresion and take b12 and vit d

in reply toweazle74

The endocrinologist doesn't have a clue - he should be ashamed of himself. You are hypothyroid! Depression is one of the possible symptoms. Being so ill and not getting proper treatment would make anyone depressed! Medicine for depression makes it worse! Also, you need thyroid hormones to help absorb vitamins and minerals. I am so angry because you are not getting the treatment you need - and probably having to pay for it too!

Can you look for a different doctor? This one is useless.

I would try to see another doctor - not everyone puts on weight - I didn't and i doubt that anyone healthy has a TSH even at the top of the range, let alone over it. B12 and D will help, but antidepressants won't - more likely make it worse. Or you could consider self-medicating if you are able to pay for regular blood tests
