I was diagnosed with Hashimotos with elevated TGAB's, goiter and one small nodule. I have been on Nature Throid for 6 months now and my numbers are not moving and I am not feeling any better. I started with 15mg and now I am up to taking 45mg. My ND would like me to do a metabolic makeover which I said I would start in the next few weeks, but shouldn't my meds be working a little?

Your doses seem quite low to me as usually we would start around 1/2 grain and every two weeks add 1/4 tablet until your symptoms are relieved. Always taking note of temp/pulse and if either rose too high, we'd drop to previous dose.
As shaws suggests, you may be on too low a dose. However, it's also possible that it's an issue with the Nature-throid you are taking. There have been discussions here about problems with recent batches, after the manufacturer (RLC Labs) re-formulated the product. I don't know what a 'metabolic makeover' involves, but you may wish to try another brand of NDT. You are on a low dose, but as you say, after increasing your dose it could be reasonable to expect to see more of an increase in FT3.
Thank you for all your input. My N.D. has me get my Nature Throid from a compounding pharmacy so he can give me what he wants. I have an appointment with him tomorrow, so I will def. discuss this with him.
