As some folk have said it works for them and some folk have said the contrary...
I suddenly thought maybe this point may be one of the issues.
I had to do quite a lot of research to find this fact out.
We need to help the little Probiotic Wee Beasties transit through our stomachs while the destructive acid is at its lowest.
If we eat shortly after drinking the elixir, the stomach goes into overdrive to produce acid to aid the first stages of digestion...this damaging our Probiotic Kefir.
I drink first thing before food in the morning, a minimum of half an hour before.... Then mid afternoon as a refreshing drink... Then half hour before supper.... Then before going to bed!
Must also say at this point that water based kefir is for those of us that cannot tolerate dairy, the downside is that it has less strains of bacteria, whereas dairy kefir can have between 30 to 50 different strains, water based kefir has around the 15 mark... But hey that's better than nothing.
We also must remember to support the Probiotics by eating inulin. Excellent natural source of Prebiotic is Red Chicory.
Prebiotics are the 'manure' that feeds the probiotics in ii our gut. If you want more info, search the wonderful Dr Michael Mosely.
