I feel much much better and that most of symptoms are gone. The only thing that bothers me is that i can't loose weight even after my TSH drooped from 6.0 at the top to 1.23 now and all the other vitamin levels are ok...I have Hashimoto and i switched my diet and i try to be completely GF if that helps...
Well there is a chance that your test results would still be range if your dose was slightly higher. If it’s too high you will start to get unpleasant symptoms /feelings of overtreatment.
As you become more active, you may find that the weight starts to come off without an increase in dose.
The only weight that comes off on its own is fluid that’s collected in your tissues while hypothyroid, you would have to follow a weight loss programme such as Weightwatchers to lose any more. But be careful, because low fat is bad news with thyroid problems, makes you feel poorly, affects absorption and conversion.
Eating liver once a week should help improve ferritin. You can hide it casseroles etc if you don't like it. Or liver pate is good option
Otherwise it's ferrous fumerate supplements
Vitamin D needs to be around 100nmol. Testing via vitamindtest.org.uk £29 postal kit. Ideally test twice yearly, especially if supplementing
Better You vitamin D mouth spray is good as avoids poor gut function
Once you reach good level, likely to need ongoing maintenance dose. Trial and error what each person needs. Might need more in winter than summer. Government recommends everyone supplement Oct to April
B12 and folate might benefit from good vitamin B complex with folate in (not folic acid)
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 3-5 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results
