Please help 🙏 horrible horrible hair fall..!!

Am 29 female , even before finding out I have hypothyroid hair fall was some what ok but now , am on 75 MCG eltroxin and vit d 2000 daily for more than 2 months... Now hair fall is soooo sooooo much... I feel lik crying see it... Once I comb ,bunch and Bunch of hair is coming 😭😭😭😭😭😭 and my iron and b12 is low too.. please could one have any idea y this much hair s falling ?? Am unmarried too... Already in the forehead hair s so less 😭

it happened to me, too when my ft3 was below range. i cut my beautiful wavy long hair, i increased my dose of levo and after 3 months my new hair it appeared. also i supplemented b12, folate, d, mg.

now my results looks good and i feel better.

Thanks mam, me too cut my hair now and types this post 😭 but 2 weeks back I checked al d values are normal in blood test ... !!

it takes a few months before it starts to grow...

Can you add your blood test results and ranges for TSH, FT3 and FT4 plus thyroid antibodies

Vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 results and ranges too

Are you having any treatment for low iron or B12.

Get doctor to check that you don't have alopecia - another autoimmune condition.

Hair loss is a very common complaint with hypothyroidism and it is distressing as we have enough going on with the disabling symptoms but it should return, slowly, when you have optimum thyroid hormones prescribed.
