Hi all. I’ve been a member a while but had no results to look at as took endo on blind faith that everything was fine. Have asked about t3 twice now. I’m not losing any weight despite running. Feel okish but tired, hair rubbish, nails crack. Upped dose by 25 twice a week and heart palp went away so did sweats. I have no thyroid after completion thyroidectomy and RAI.
TSH 0.09 (0.35-5.5)
Ft4 25.2. (10.3-22.7)
Ft3 4.1 (3.5-6.5)
Vit d 80 (75-175)
Magnesium 0.91(0.7-1)
Iron 15.8 (7-32)
Take Levo in morn with water. Bloods taken this morning before taking levo.
Supplement with vit d (25) and b and mg and selenium.
I’ve formed my opinion after posts on here. Just need confirmation that I’m not going mad. See endo in April will have bloods for her in a week or so. Should I drop extra 25 twice a week. Would that make a huge diff to bloods.
Thanks
Hayley

TSH is mildly suppressed and FT4 is over range but FT3 is low in range which is fairly common in patients who no longer have a thyroid and are reliant on peripheral conversion.
If you drop 25mcg both FT4 and FT3 will drop. Read Dr. Toft's comments in Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email dionne.fulcher@thyroiduk.org if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.
I wouldn't drop 2 x 25mcg a week unless endo agrees to substitute 10mcg Liothyronine (T3).
If endo doesn't agree I would buy your own T3 and self medicate. If you want sources write a new post asking members to contact you via private messages.
VitD is replete >75 but is optimal 100-150 so I would continue supplementing until April.
Thanks Clutter. My GP had a hissy fit at my tsh when it was 0.2, same ranges so I refused his request to drop to 100 levo. He wasn’t pleased -😂 I set my endo onto him and he’s been put right.
Thanks all for your time. Much appreciated, worked in NHS for 18yrs but finding this journey a hard slog!!
