Would appreciate help with my blood results

Vitamins

Vitamin D (25OH) 82 (Deficient 25) (In sufficient 25-50) (consider reducing dose 175)

Vitamin B12 283 new range (Deficient 145)(In sufficient (145-250)consider reducing 569 (New range)

Serum Folate 16.60 8.83-60.8. nmo/L

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Clutter suggested getting T3 and T4 tested, when I last posted. Thanks very much for any help offered.

Suffer from tiredness and acky legs. Also unable to loose weight. Been on thyroxine for over 60 odd years.

Forgot to mention that I take 50/75 on alternate days.

TSH is low-normal, FT4 is less than halfway through range and FT3 is deficient. It looks like you will need FT4 high in range, possibly over range, to get FT3 to a decent level. TSH will almost certainly become suppressed. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Thyroid antibodies are negative for Hashimoto's.

Ferritin is deficient and this can indicate iron deficiency anaemia. Ask GP to order an iron panel and full blood count.

Vit D 85 is replete. 100-150 is optimal. If you are supplementing you could continue until April when ultraviolet light will be high enough to stimulate natural vitD. If you are supplementing you should take vitD 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.

B12 283 is low. If you have symptoms in b12deficiency.info/signs-an... go to healthunlocked.com/pasoc for advice. If not, supplement 1,000mcg methylcobalamin to raise B12 level.

Folate is optimal halfway through range. Eating leafy green veg helps raise folate.
