Hi looking for support. I have under treated underactive thyroid and I have been making mistakes at work which really knock my confidence. I get stressed when I don't understand something and this can upset me. I just feel like a mental case.
Other symptoms - feeling cold, anxiety, breathlessness, getting easily upset, brain fog, weight gain, heavy periods, puffy eyes, losing hair, loss of appetite. Please advise, I take 50mcg Levo and restarted T3 at 5mcg. I was diagnosed hypothyroid 2011.
Thanks

You need to make an appointment to see a GP for treatment and make sure you complain to the practice manager about the practice's failure to contact you to advise you need treatment for vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
Treatment for iron deficiency anaemia is usually an iron infusion or 3 x 210mg Ferrous Fumarate. Take each tablet with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Iron should be taken 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.
Vitamin D is deficient. Your GP should refer to local guidelines or the cks.nice.org.uk/vitamin-d-d... Do NOT accept a prescription for 800iu which is a mainte-nance dose prescribed after vitD is replete >75. Vitamin D should be taken 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.
These are direct result of being under medicated for thyroid and having had T3 stopped
You need to establish if cause of hypothyroid is autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto's. Do you know if you have high thyroid antibodies? If never been tested ask that they are
Also insist on coeliac blood test, before you try strictly gluten free diet
Suggest you see a different GP if current one won't treat these very low vitamins
B12 needs testing for Pernicious Anaemia before starting B12 injections.
Folic acid supplements should not be started until after first B12 injections
Vitamin D, you need much higher dose than just 800iu. If that's all GP prescribes then get your own vitamin D mouth spray by Better You. May be 3000iu daily and retest via vitamindtest.org.uk in 2-3 months
Ferritin you need GP to prescribe ferrous fumerate supplements
