Changed from Erfa to Nature-Throid

I have had to change from Erfa Thyroid to Nature-Throid, as my NHS supply has dried up and I couldn't find Erfa available anywhere else. Should I be taking the same amount, i.e. 1.5 grains? I don't think the Nature-Throid is suiting me so well, I felt better on the Erfa.

If I recollect correctly Erfa has slightly more T3 in it than other brands of ndt including Naturethroid. Its only a small difference but you might be missing the extra T3. Don't know your blood test results but if they are in range you could try just increasing by a smidegon say quarter of a tablet on top of your normal dose to see if that helps.

If not you may have to change brands. Theres been good press about Acella NP-people tolerating it well and getting few negative comments about it -thats from Stop The Thyroid Madness website. Thats what Ive moved across to since WP Thyroid is no longer in production.

Thanks for your reply waveylines . It's such a faff (and expense) doing private blood tests - I'm going by how I feel atm. But I think I a will do a Medichecks or Blue Horizon test when I have been on Nature-Throid for 6 weeks, to get a true picture.
