Just need a bit of advice

Currently taking 100mcg levo and 25mcg t3

TSH 0.02 (0.27-4.2)

T4 12.1 (12-22)

T3 5.0 (3.1-6.8)

Didnt take meds before blood draw, so they were 24 hours before. Not sure if that's right. I've not been feeling well and thought it could be down to thyroid but those look ok?

Ferritin 54.52 (20-150)

B12 510.7

Folate 9.39 (2.5-19.5)

Normal recommendation is 24 hours for T4 and 12 hours for T3

Your FT4 looks low. You might consider increasing by either 12.5 or 25mcg.

Ferritin is on low side. Eating liver once a week should help

B12 - do you have symptoms of low B12? If so adding sublingual B12 lozenges, plus vitamin B complex may help

No vitamin D result. Do you supplement?

What about magnesium?

Do you have Hashimoto's? If so are you strictly gluten free?

Thanks for your reply

Would more t4 push t3 over top of range? As the result was 24 hours after last dose of t3/t4 I'm guessing reading would have been higher otherwise?

Don't have Vitamin D result this time, last year was fine. Not sure about magnesium either.

Yes to hashis, antibodies slightly high for TPO and much higher TG 500+

Vitamin D needs to be at good levels, eg around 100nmol

No point testing magnesium. Many find it beneficial

Gluten intolerance extremely common. You don't need to have any gut symptoms at all

Personally I need FT4 higher.

Pinklady756,

TSH is suppressed, FT4 is low in range because you are taking T3 direct, and FT3 5.0 after 24 hours will probably be nearer to 6.0. You appear to be adequately medicated and aren't biochemically overmedicated.

Ferritin is optimal halfway through range. You could eat more iron rich food or supplement iron with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation.

B12 and folate are good.
