I've been on a trial dose of T3 20mcgs along with 50mcgs levo for ten weeks. Was previously on 100mcgs levo only which had been a reduced dose of 125mcgs. Felt anxious and unwell for over a year now. Tummy doing somersaults hot flushes sweats.

Have you felt any improvement on the T3+T4 combination and were you having the tummy somersaults and sweats prior to taking T3?
Your blood results don't indicate over medication, in fact I would say there is room for a slight increase in dose as most people are comfortable with TSH just above or below 1.0. Your FT3 is still very low but it doesn't respond to dose changes as quickly as TSH.
From the results you've posted, don't you think the T4 is very low? Its right at the bottom of the range which is shouldn't be. I know you're taking T3 which if it was only T3 would push the T4 even lower but you are taking T4 aswell. I think I would ask to have the T4 raised a little.
Hi, I often post the link for optimal lab values according to Stop the Thyroid Madness Now. Just a quick scan looks as if you are "low" in just about everything except the one thing that should be low and that's your TIBC. Perhaps raising your dose is the answer but if you are older, you might consider using a progesterone cream since that is also very low or you may even be anemic.
I started getting the flushes and sweats after my levo was reduced from 125mcgs to 100mcgs in July 2013. It was reduced as I started getting the somersaulting tummy. Dr said over medicated so reduced it.
Been feeling like this for over a year now.
In June 2014 I asked for another blood test this time with T4 and T3. It came back TSH 5.28 (0.45-4.24) T4 21 (9-19) T3 3.7 (3.2-6.0)
Gp said by Tsh he should increase levo but T4 was already over range so couldn't increase it.
I asked for referral to endo. Saw a private one. She said straight away I wasn't converting properly so put me on combo T4/t3. My levo was reduced to 50mcgs and 20mcgs T3 added.
I still feel the same as I dud on levo only.
I am puzzled as to why my T3 is lower now than when on levo only.
I am 62 years old. Went through menopause about 10days ago. I recently stopped using bio identical progesterone cream as I decided (after using it for two years for protection against breast cancer) that I could no longer afford it.
So my progesterone and oestrogen are low due to post menopause
Sorry been through menopause about 10 years ago!!!!
