Can I do anything more?

Endo increased my dose from 100mcg to 125 then to 150mcg. Now been on higher dose for 7 weeks and had repeat bloods done.

The first figure is when I was on 100mcg the second is my most recent set.

TSH 2.13 now 0.13 (0.35 - 5.00 mu/L)

Free T4 13.3 now 16.5 (9 - 22 pmol/L)

Free T3 not measured before now 4.6 (2.6 -5.7 pmol/L)

I’m taking Vit D, B, Folate and Magnesium supplements and have just recently switched to taking my thyroid meds’ at night.

Vit D was 69 up from 19! Taking 25ug daily (50-200 nmol/L)

Vit B12 was 288 (200 - 910 ng/L)

Folate was 5.4 (3 - 20)

Just started taking vitamin B complex with 2.5 ug b12 and folic acid 200ug)

Doctor was very happy with these results and unsurprisingly spent less than 5 minutes with me.

These looks ok to me from reading the many helpful posts here but I am trying to understand the condition better and help myself! If anyone thinks these are not ok please tell me.

I asked for the increase in meds because I was really achy, depressed, overweight and miserable on a constant diet which never worked. I am feeling better.

Any other tips from you wise people!!!?

Labs look alright, but how do you feel? It's not just about the numbers. If you feel good, then the labs are good. If you feel bad, then they're not optimal for you.

Have you had your antibodies and ferritin tested?

Your vit D3 still has a way to go, yet.

Your B12 was much too low, and I doubt the small amount of B12 in a B complex would do much to raise it. Ideally, with that result, I think you should get tested for Pernicious anemia. But failing that, you should be taking 5000 mcg sublingual methylcobalamin (B12) daily.

Folic acid is not a very good thing to take. It would be better to get a B complex containing at least 400 mcg methylfolate, which will bring your folate up nicely, and balance the Bs.

Thank you! I did wonder about getting a B12 supplement outside the Vit B complex. Will also have a look at the complex to bring up folate as you suggest! 😊

Vitamin levels tested as above. I had my antibodies done a while back and they were ok. They weren’t tested this time.

Since being on 150mcg I’m not as achy I’ve managed to lose 10lbs which for me is a MASSIVE achievement and I feel less depressed- feels like the fog has lifted and I can cope better. My body temperature feels like it’s gone up a good few degrees. I’m constantly warm and I did wonder if that was a sign of increasing the medication too much but it’s much better than being cold... and probably just means my metabolism is actually doing something now!

Sounds like you are definitely going in the right direction, it’s all such a slog though, so good luck.
