Help with Results

Hello,

I would be very grateful if someone could over me advice and interpretation of my latest bloods.

These are my latest results from medichecks

TSH 0.875 mIU/L (0.27-4.20)

Free thyroxine 9.46 pmol/L (12-22)

Free T3 5.26 pmol/L (3.10-6.80)

I am currently self medicaing on 2.5 grains of Nature throid , i have been on Nature throid for about a year and 6 months. Previouly on 100 mcg levothyroxine prescribed from GP.

This is my results from last year so its interesting how its changed:

TSH 0.043

Free thyroxine 12.86 pmol/L (12-22)

Free T3 5.92 pmol/L (3.10-6.80)

Should i up my dose of Nature throid? Am i converting OK? i worry that my iron is low (as i suffer heavy periods) and i might be pooling/t3 not getting into cells do these results prove otherwise?

I dont feel to great at the moment, hair breaking off, weight gain, my energy isnt too bad and i do experience anxiety and panicky feelings but i dont know if thats related to my medication as ive always been quite an anxious person.

There is scope to increase NDT dose as you are symptomatic. Most people will be optimally dosed on NDT when FT3 is between 5.5 - 6.8 which will usually suppress TSH <0.1. FT4 is often suppressed below range when people are taking NDT. It's fine as long as FT3 is good.

You can only tell whether there is a conversion issue when looking at results on Levothyroxine only. If you were a poor converter the T3 in NDT will overcome that.
