That's what they've been told in the Guidelines that only TSH and T4 are required. Sometimes if it is requested, the lab still does TSH and T4

You can get your own Free T3 blood test from one of our recommended labs and it is a home pin-prick test. Make sure you are well hydrated for a couple of days if you decide to do this and it should be the earliest time possible, and allow a gap of 24 hours from your last dose and the test and take it afterwards.

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting

Yes read an article recently that if FT4 is high then FT3 is high. Well it may be if you don't have a thyroid problem but we do have and know what a stupid statement that is!
