VIRUS

Has anyone had a virus lately that has kept coming back to a lesser degree with exhaustion. Thought it had gone. I had cough and cold like symptoms with extreme exhaustion. Seems to come back slightly but the exhaustion is quite bad. Feel like sleeping all the time. I know we have energy issues anyway, I have Hashimotos and Fibromyalgia.

Thank you. I don’t cough much. It’s weird all of a sudden it is like something strikes my throat and then I sneeze a few times. It is the fatigue which is the worst.

Thank you. I take Q10 regularly. Innopure 100 mg per day.

Thanks. I haven’t had nausea but maybe not everyone gets this with the virus.

List your symptoms and take to the doc. Ask to exclude an underlying problem. The doc can do antibodies tests if necessary and check kidney/liver function. It might not be anything to do with thyroid.

Oh yes! I had a very bad virus in October/November last year. Was with me for about 8 weeks. Fortunately, felt ok over Christmas/New Year, then it came back again for a few days, and has continued to do that ever since. I was ok during this past week, but today I'm feeling it again. It just seems to be never-ending!

Hi. Is the main symptom extreme tiredness?

Indeed it is. I'm exhausted! And sleep for hours.

Just like me. Keep sleeping in late and missing appointments. Today had four little naps. I also get little coughing and sneezing fits from time to time.

I got up at 9 am today. By 10.30, I was falling asleep again, and had to go back to bed. Slept til 3.30 pm. Now, I'm sitting here with my eyelids drooping. Can't wait to get back to bed!

Yes, these fits of coughing and sneezing come on me suddenly and can last for ages! Also, stomach ache and nausea, bit of a headache. Just generally feeling unwell.

Get well GG.

I’m the same here. Wiped out from day before Christmas Eve until Sunday after New Year, I cant believe how much I slept - stuff of the Guinness Book of Records - the Sunday was my first day out after all that. Then on the Wednesday I rolled off the bed at night and broke my wrist - since then the exhaustion has come back. Got up this morning, had breakfast at 8.00 - back to bed and snoozed until 1.00. I got up and have been vertical all afternoon but I’m still tired.

Did any of you feel dizzy / lightheaded - even when you’re lying down? I can’t decide if I’m like that because of the Christmas bug or as a side effect of the hydroxychloroquine I take for my inflammatory arthritis.

Hi fruit and nut case , I feel your pain with the vertigo I have had it since October with flu and sinus infection and laryngitis . I hope u feel better soon . 😊

Hydroxychloroquine did that to me as well, I had to come off it so they put me on methotrexate, god that was just as bad, I’m now on pain patches which aren’t great but better than nothing except in the summer when you get hot and sweaty then they don’t stick at all.
