Tried to get results of blood test today. Poor girl couldn't find Free T4, said TSH was 1. Range (0.35-5)

B12 433 range 130-800

Follate 23.2 range 4-20

Ferritin 79 range 12-250.

There was a task on there but nobody knew what!!

Please could somebody interpret my results.

These look ok although ferritin could be mid-range so a tad higher would be ok. What about vitamin D? Could it be the culprit? Would help to view FT4.

Hylda,

TSH 1 is euthyroid (normal) so 100mcg is probably sufficient dose.

Low calcium can cause pins and needles particularly noticeable in fingers and toes and around the mouth and nose. Ask your GP to check calcium level.

B12 433 is unlikely to be deficient but if you have symptoms of deficiency in b12deficiency.info/signs-an... go to healthunlocked.com/pasoc for advice.

Folate is good.

Ferritin is adequate but optimal is around half way through range. You can raise ferritin by eating more iron rich food.

TSH gone from 0.06 pretty constant to 1

Hylda,

TSH will have risen because FT4/FT3 have dropped. If you aren't feeling well it may be worth ordering a private thyroid test via thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin... Medichecks offer #ThyroidThursday discounts.
