Hi all, just got my latest full thyroid check results back and would really love a bit of advice! Over the last few months I've been working on getting vitamin levels up..so now vit B12 1093 (oops) pmol/L (140-724)...do I just stop supplementing with B12 and maybe get retested in 6 months time? Vitamin D is now 153 nmol/L (50-200). Should I stop supplementing now and maybe just supplement over the winter? Ferritin 52.42 ug/L (13-150)...presumeably carry on supplementing?
TSH 2.43 mIU/L (0.27-4.20) Free thyroxine 16.54 pmol/L (12.00-22.00) total thyroxine 76.8 nmol/L (59.00-154.00) Free T3 4.21 pmol/L (3.10-6.80) Reverse T3 21 ng/dl (10.00-24.00) Reverse T3 ratio 13.05 (15.01-75.00). I'm guessing my RT3 could be high because I have adrenal issues which I've only just found out as just had cortisol saliva test results back. Any thoughts/advice would be great, thank you Jen X

Jenny - this is my take on it, and what I do, it's not necessarily what anyone else does, nor is it advice.
There is nothing wrong with B12 at 1093. It's recommended for us Hypos that it's very top of range, even 900-1000. I think it's Shaws that has recently mentioned about needing it at 1000 to help prevent dementia (sorry I don't have a link). I aim to keep mine at that level. I have been up to 1200 and I just reduced the number of times a week I took my supplement. I am currently taking 1 sublingual methylcobalamin lozenge three times a week to try and keep it at around 1000. You could just adjust your dose.

Vit D is recommended to be 100-150nmol/L according to the Vit D Council. I've been at that level (and more) and currently am around 110. I don't do 'sun', I start to burn, even through clothing, in a few minutes, so I supplement with 2000iu D3 (plus cofactors) daily and that is keeping it within range. You could drop your dose, whatever it is, either by reducing the amount daily or taking less days a week.

You need to get your Ferritin up to a minimum of 70 (I've seen it said 100-130 for females). You should continue supplementing and/or eat liver regularly (which is what raised my ferritin without supplements), maximum 200g a week, and eat iron rich foods apjcn.nhri.org.tw/server/in...

Your TSH seems to have risen again, and your Free Ts are both higher. Are you taking any thyroid meds? I don't understand why your TSH is rising as well as your Free Ts though.
Brilliant thanks for the good advice re. vitamins..i will do as you do! No i'm not taking any thyroid meds and TSH is down a bit..it was 2.91 when last tested.
