Hi
Does my GP need to do anything about these?
Thanks

Vitamin B12 - 203 (190 - 900)
Total OH vitamin D - 22.7 (<25 severe vitamin D deficiency. Patient may require pharmacological preparations)

Sam88,
You are deficient in all except B12 which is very low in range.
Your GP should check your iron levels as deficient ferritin can indicate iron anaemia.
Intrinsic Factor antibodies should be tested to rule out pernicious anaemia causing low B12. If PA is ruled out your GP might be prepared to raise B12 level with a B12 injection but if not you can buy 5,000mcg methylcobalamin to raise B12.
5mg folic acid should be prescribed for 2-3 months to raise folate.
VitD is deficient. My GP prescribed D3 40,000iu x 14 days followed by 2,000iu daily x 8 weeks to raise vitD from <10 to 107. If GP won't prescribe you can buy D3 online.
