I see it's highly recommended on the forum but I've never supplemented K2 although I supplement D3. You could try it again in a couple of weeks just in case it was something other than K2 causing the adverse reaction.
I take pure hypoallergenic K2 which unfortunately is ridiculously expensive. I live in finland and it is finnish product, and I don't know if there are hypoallergenic vitamins available in all countries.
If you can eat certain food like edam cheese and natto those contain a lot of K2. Any cheese probably has decent amount of K2.
Vit K2 assists calcium into the bones and teeth, rather than building up in the tissues. Taking vit D3 increases absorption of calcium from food, that is why one should take the K2.
The difference between K2 MK7 and K2 MK4, is that the MK7 is natural, made from natto, I believe. Maybe you are allergic to soy? MK4 is synthetic. Why not try taking some MK4 instead, see if that suits you better? Sometimes synthetics do work better for some people than the natural stuff.
Well, it's good to avoid unfermented soy if you are hypo - or at all, really - but natto isn't unfermented, so the MK7 won't be affecting your thyroid or your levo. However, some people cannot tolerate any form of soy. And, when you're hypo you can easily develope new allergies.
