Hi i have been on thyroxine for 20 years I requested extra blood tests on my thyroid as I have been having palpitations all came back normal, but then he told me I have onset Lupus , can't bring myself to google it at the moment , can't get over how kind he was , so thinking the worst

Hi... Please look at Lupus uk website and support on here. I have been on thyroid meds for 20 years and now in Levo and liothyronine. Just been diagnosed with mild SLE. How has he diagnosed lupus? Have you had positive antibody tests? GP should be referring you to a rheumatologist I would imagine ?? Sorry I'm no expert just what I have read through having these tests. I am under a rheumatologist and now on hydroxychloroquine. Lots of support out there but I know it's overwhelming at times! Best of luck and take care 🙂

I saw rheumatologist November positive antibodies again January , July she gave me hydroxychlorquine she just said they would help with pain in my finger s and toes , not until I went to the doctors and he read her report to me ,that it sunk in what I'd got, struggled with the tablets at first stomach pain throat pain , settling down now , I will look uk lupus , and thank you for your reply
