New labs.

Sorry all. My last post got somehow mixed up with an older one.

I got my new labs for this month back. I am currently on 2.5 grAin or 150mg of erfa. I have been slowly increasing as I go.

Latest labs.

Tsh .29. Range .20 to 4

Ft3 4.8. Range 3.5 to 6.5

Ft4 8.6. Range 9 to 23

My labs from last month

Tsh .58

Ft3 5.2

Ft4 8.9

Previous month

Tsh 2.12

Ft3 5.4

Ft4 10.4

It seems like I'm going backwards. Other than the tsh. Has anyone seen this. I do feel better than when I started. Doc says stay at the dose I'm at for now. What do you guys think. Up it. Lower it. Keep it the same?

Just for added info. I have treated my adrenals. I am on 25mg if dhea and testosterone cream and b12. All due to deficiencies. B12 is up. Dhea is up and testosterone is going up slowly.

Thanks.

The most important question is 'how are you feeling'? If well you are on sufficient hormones.

Hi I would be careful going up with erfa to quickly! I did this and got really hyper! I take 120 mg of erfa and can't seem to get my T4 levels up but T 3 seems fine, if I take any more I get hyper! doctor said Erfa has more T3 and I'm sensitive to it!? So just be careful but you do have to do by how you feel? My tsh is 0.02 :-)

If T3 is fine, don't worry about the T4. The body only keeps as much as it needs, and as it doesn't need as much, the level stays low when you are taking some form of T3.

Great advice I didn't know that! I'm taking Erfa I'm am feeling better but can't take the recommended dose from my doctor! Got really hyper so had to lower and feel ok but my adrenals.are too good! Next thing to see to! How are you and what do you take? Ndt?

I take T3 only. NDT made me very, very ill. I'm as well as can be expected for someone of 71 who went undiagnosed for over 50 years!

Doctors know nothing - absolutely nothing - about thyroid. It's way over their heads. Hence the fact that I was undiagnosed for over 50 years whilst showing all the signs and symptoms of being hypo. So, unless you want to invest the time and energy into trying to educate your doctor - with no guarantee that you will actually even crack the surface of his complacency - then best to just smile sweetly at him, and then recheck everything he says for yourself. A simple question on here will probably reveal all - his incompetence and the right answer! :)
