Please help. Very confused.

Just got my most recent labs back. I'm currently on 105mg of ndt.

Tsh .58. Range is .2 to 4

Ft3 5.2. Range is 3.5 to 6.5

Ft4 8.9. Range is 9 to 23

My last set of labs on 75 mg was

Tsh 2.12

Ft3 5.4

Ft4 9.8

So my tsh has dropped but so have my ft3 and ft4. Has anyone else experienced this while increasing there dosage. I'm assuming I should keep going up right.

What is 105 mg? 1 and 1/2 grains? How long have you been on that dose? Do you have Hashi's? Did you have both these tests done at the same time of day, and fasting?

Your ft 4 & ft3 has only slightly dipped -personally Icwouldnt read too much into the thyroid hormone levels they are much the same as before. The TSH is dropping. What's the time interval between the two tests? Were they both taken at the same time of day? Did you fast? Did you stop taking your thyroid hormones for at least 24hrs before the blood test?

Ft3 don't forget is notorious for fluctuating so I really wouldn't worry so long as it's in range. The ft4 slight drop could be that either you haven't been on the dose long enough to build your store up OR you are not yet taking enough for that to start happening. If you still have symptoms and have been on that dose for at least a couple of months there is room for a little increase .

How do you feel? Remember it's not just about the blood tests. What's your temperature and pulse rate first thing in the morning before getting up?

Don't know which NDT you are taking -mine on 2 grains would be 130mg. You've increase yours by 30mg -is that a half grain increase from a one grain increase?

That current blood test looks very good. The FreeT3 is basically just where you want it to be, two thirds up the range.

But the most important question is how you feel. Are you comfortable on this dose?

Very sorry all. I posted my old labs. I'm currently at 2.5 grains and my new labs are.

Tsh .29. Range .20 to 4

Ft3 4.8 range 3.5 to 6.5

Ft4 8.6 range is 9 to 23

Why is it that my levels are dropping but my ndt amounts are increasing. Should I go back down, keep increasing or just stay were I'm at.

For what this is worth, my T4 went down when I moved to NDT and my T3 was "middling" (and, of course fluctuating). However, I felt 99% better than when I was on Levo, so I go by how I feel. BTW, tell us which NDT you are on, then some of us can make comparisons. I am on 1.5 grains of Armour. If you are on Armour 2.5grains is quite a high dose but I understand that for some NDTs 2.5 is average.
