Hello guys , I just got my new blood results which

T4 0.7

T3 4.4

TSH 0.37

Vitamin D 25

My endo canceled my T3 pills and increased my Levo to 75 and still I don't feel okay .

Any piece of advise will be appreciated thanks.

Nemojan,

Sorry to hear that your ( stupid ! ) doctor has stopped your T3. Did you feel any better when medicating it ?

If your blood test results were taken when medicating T3 or straight after stopping, your results look ok. T4 would be low but yours looks ridiculously low .... its hard to comment without ranges ( numbers in brackets) .

Advise what you were medicating and when and supply test ranges for members to give a more comprehensive answer.

Oops forgot ....

Vit D is much too low & needs supplementing.

I take a D3 & K2 combo.

nemojan,

Don't be sad... there is an answer out there.. it is just a case of finding it.

I presume you had a months trial of T3. How did you feel when medicating it ? Have hypothyroid symptoms increased//returned since you stopped ? ? .. When were these test results taken ? ? ... No reference ranges ? ? ...

You are focussing on weight gain which is a classic symptom of low thyroid hormone as the metabolism slows but your TSH doesn't reflect your thyroid hormone results.

I am not sure what is going on. Maybe others will comment.

Your Vit D result was given over two months ago. Are you supplementing ? ?

Vitamin D helps to regulate insulin secretion and sensitivity and balances blood sugar. A Vit D deficiency will encourage insulin resistance and so weight gain when excess sugar in the blood which can't enter the cells is instead converted to fat.

Vit D also modulates the immune system (so any thyroid antibodies) and reduces inflammation. An adequate level is required for good thyroid hormone synthesis.

Dieting won't help you lose weight if thyroid hormones are low.
