iron
You should get the ferritin, folate and vitamin B12 test. The iron test will not give you sufficient information.
will this test still give you an idea of my iron levels which i need because of hair loss.
You need ferritin and if you haven't had your haemoglobin checked in past two years you need that.
Ideally you would have haemoglobin, ferritin, vitamin B12 and folate plus vitamin D.
If you have had vitamin B12 done and you are supplementing your results will not mean much as you are measuring the supplements.
If you have had vitamin D done in the last 6 months and were above 50nmol/L don't bother with another test until end of September.
There may be other hormonal factors causing your hair loss so if your tests come back mid-range or higher and as your thyroid is fine, you need to see a specialist dermatologist or trichologist.
