I just received my thyroid blood test results and I am not quite sure what it means.
My T3 is 3.34
My T4 is 1.04
My TSH is 0.10
Can anyone tell me if this is why I am gaining weight?

Jillybean1,
Do you have the ranges of the above results, as it enables members to comment. Many labs have different ranges. Weight gain is one of the most common questions. This is a link for information:-
Here are the ranges
T3 2.3-4.2 Mine is 3.34
T4 .76-1.80 Mine is 1.04
TSH 0.34-4.82 Mine is 0.10
On paper your blood tests look o.k. The $50,000 question is 'how are you feeling' (besides the weight gain).
I agree with Shaws that it's important how you feel. But a quick look at your older posts shows you're taking 112mcg Levo and 10mcg of T3?
If you're taking T3 your TSH will be suppressed so don't worry about that. I think you could probably afford another rise in T3, maybe to 20mcg, as your FT3 still isn't particularly high in range.
Thanks Lily, being new to this thyroidectomy thing I don't really understand what TSH and FT3 are! Does the T3 mess help you lose weight? I feel good but the weight gain is killing me
I would say your T3 needs to be higher to lose weight. It is only just above mid-range and most people need it to be up near the top of the range, or even slightly over, to feel good and lose weight. Your T4 is Under mid-range. It would seem to me that you could do with an increase in your T3 meds to get it up to the top of the range.
Hugs, Grey
