You haven't actually given your Thyroid Peroxidase result. When posting could you give normal ranges in brackets please and dates of tests?
However, more important just now, I would not wait for Neurologist referal to come through.
I would go and see GP TODAY or asap. We can get same day appoinment by calling in before 8.30 am.
But I think you are in USA not UK ?
I am not medically qualified but high Prolactin could mean other conditions apart from Hypothyroidism. So I would see GP for thorough investigations and diagnosis.
May I suggest you make a written list of all your symptoms in case you forget any when in with doc. But the high Prolactin requires looking into asap anyway.
Well, I don't agree that a TSH of 3.3 is 'good' or 'perfect'. I think it needs keeping an eye on. What time of day was this test done, and was it fasting?
But I do agree that we absolutely need the ranges for FT4 and FT3. The results are meaningless without the ranges. And, I agree you need your B12 tested.
You haven't given the result for thyroid peroxidase AB.
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results
I live in Singapore and they will give you whatever test you want if you are paying for them full thyroid test cost around 90sgd which I think is not bad. I will get tested again after the new year.
